Childhood books inspired by a real much-loved pup

The inspiration for Welly the Westie was easy for author Anthony Trevorrow. A beloved family dog, the Welly series follows Welly’s real adventures.

Searching for the right artist to bring Welly to life

It was a long search for author Anthony and his wife Eve to find the right illustrator.

They found the perfect artist in Frank Endersby - who has illustrated children’s books for Harper Collins, Little Tiger Press and many more.

I wanted to write good, happy stories for young children…

When a little Westland terrier came home, author Anthony Trevorrow gave him the name, Wellington.

His son, Charles immediately called him ‘Welly’.

Based on the adventures of Welly, the book series are good bedtime stories for ages 3 and upwards. The end of each story also has a message to enjoy.

Anthony Trevorrow lives with his wife Eve in Gloucester, United Kingdom.
